Arbeit Macht Frei

A team of visited specifically for you the place where the ominous inscription “Arbeit Macht Frei” stay (perhaps translated “Labor frees”). Many of you will guess what this place is, for those who don’t know: this is one of the concentration camps of Nazi Germany.

Today is January 27, 2020, the 75th anniversary of the release of survivors of the Auschwitz (or Oswiecim) concentration camp by Red Army soldiers. On this occasion, we visited the site and now we share what we have seen through the lens of our camera. When you are there your skin is having goosebumps if you try even briefly imagine what happened!!! 

Today is proclaimed the International Holocaust Remembrance Day by the UN General Assembly on 1 November 2005.

According to Roman Herzog:

“The memory must not die. It must remind even future generations.”
