How to improve yourself while quarantined
You’re stuck at home. After doing a bit of cleaning here and there, watching the Netflix series you always wanted to watch and finishing the book you started long ago, you’re starting to get bored.
If this is you, first of all I would like to congratulate you on being a responsible citizen. Staying home, right now, is a way of saving lives. Secondly, I would like to suggest you a few ways of being productive during your quarantine times.
1. Practice an instrument
Dust off the guitar sitting in the corner of your room.
Don’t have an instrument? Try online singing lessons!
For guitar lessons of different levels, try this website.
2. Pick up programming
Python, Java, Unity… the possibilities are endless.
You can even learn how to create phone apps.
You can learn coding for free here.
3. Learn a new language
Practice your English, your French, your Spanish.
In a few weeks you can become Mr. or Mrs. Worldwide.
Don’t know where to start? Try Duolingo.
4. Home workout
Gyms being closed is no excuse for being lazy. Even doing a few push-ups and sit-ups per day is better than nothing.
Check Youtube, Play Store or Google Store for home workout plans.
I’m using Leap’s “Home Workout (no equipment)” phone app.
5. Learn new things
Some universities such as MIT provide free courses online for anyone to learn.
If you want to learn about the world in a more entertaining way, some Youtube channels might be interesting for you. Here’s my favourite.

6. Meditation or Yoga
In times like these, stress will pile up. Meditation and Yoga are ways of not letting anxiety control you.
For meditation, I use this phone app.
