COVID-19 QUARANTINE RECIPES IN THE KITCHEN part 2: Shakshuka

For this second weekend of quarantine, we propose you to cook “Shakshuka”: A very delish and quintessential meal of Arab Cuisine, mostly Tunisian, Yemeni, Libyan, Palestinian, Algerian, Syrian…

It is served in an iron pan and it is basically a dish of eggs poached in a tomatoes olive oil, peppers and spices.

Ingredients for Shakshuka:

– 1 onion.

– 2 garlic.

– 2 tomatoes.

– 3 green peppers.

– 200 ml of tomato paste.

– 4 eggs.

– 1 teaspoon of chilli flakes.

– 1 teaspoon of paprika.

– 1 teaspoon of cumin.

– 1 teaspoon of sugar.

– Salt to taste.

– Black pepper to taste.

– Olive oil.
