A volunteer from France arrives in Kazanlak

Under the project “A vision for Art” carried out by YDCMA a French volunteer will spend 6 months in our town. Her name is Agathe Ferrand, and she is from the French town of Bordeaux. Once the organization has received accreditation from the National Center for European Youth Programs and Initiatives we won a project under the European Union Voluntary Service program.
The project has a few ideas:

  • to encourage the European partnership in the youth field
  • to organize international art exhibitions and events that gather young talented people that work in the art fields.
  • to publish for the project a book called “Alternatives”
  • to popularize arts and culture as a whole in Bulgaria and Europe.
  • to support young people in the local community and help them learn more about the EU and encourage them to take part in more programs and activities organized by European Youth Programs and Initiatives
  • to spread the EVS philosophy in the local community

The project will give youngsters the opportunity to see that they have similar values as people their age from other countries.

Something else that the project aim sto achieve is to motivate young people to participate in community service and to take part in different activities that fights unemployment among young people through art and the possibilities provided by the EU and the programs of the national centers European Youth Programs and Initiatives. Ideas and projects will be developed in order to prevent social exclusion and to fight unemployment among the youth with the help of certified career counselor.
Everyone willing to participate in an EU project, realted to their interests can turn to the organization for help.
