Two non-governmental organizations – United Аvangard Artist and Youth Development Center – Mutual Aid from Kazanlak have been assisting with the volunteers the municipality of Kazanlak since the beginning of the state of emergency, as BNT reports. Their volunteers are answering the phone for the help of elderly and lonely-living people, accepting and fulfilling requests to buy goods essentials. The team also includes foreigners from Spain, Latvia, France, Tunisia, Portugal and, of course, Bulgarians working on projects co-financed by the European Union Solidarity Corps.

To inform the local community about this service, as well as the basic rules for preventing contamination with COVID – 19, they create and distribute leaflets – in pharmacies, shops, and at the entrances of the city blocks of Kazanlak.
